How we charge.
No hidden agenda. No smoke and mirrors. Find out what you’ll pay for as our client, and the value we provide in return.
Our approach to fees.
When you choose to work with De Mellow & Co, charges will be clear. Here’s what they are, and what they involve.
Implementing your financial plan:
- Completing product transfers and liaising with third parties to establish your portfolio.
- Handling all paperwork and administrative tasks needed to set up investment and savings accounts.
- Keeping you informed of progress at every stage, with a small, dedicated team as your main point of contact.
Ongoing support:
- A 60-minute meeting at least once a year to review progress and performance.
- Monitoring of your assets, investments, and overall portfolio.
- Liaising with third-party providers to make adjustments and updates as required.
In terms of costs for these services, like everything else we do, they’re tailored to your needs. Your dedicated Planner will share our proposed charges as soon as they have an idea of the breadth of support you’ll need. And no work will begin – meaning you won’t pay a penny – until you’re absolutely happy with the figures in question.
Something for nothing.
Your initial consultation comes with no obligation whatsoever to proceed. Of course, we’re confident that working with us for the long term will have a lasting and positive effect on your finances and your life. But you’re absolutely free to listen to the wisdom and advice shared in that first meeting, then go it alone.
If you do decide to stay with us for the long run, there are benefits beyond count. As well as the monitoring and tweaking that’s part of your ongoing service, our friendly team members are on hand to provide emotional support in good times and bad. That’s financial advice that cares.
The true value of financial planning.
It should go without saying that working with a Financial Planner will leave you with more money in your pocket than if you were to take a DIY approach. But there’s proof, too. Research by the International Longevity Centre found UK individuals who took financial advice between 2001 and 2006 were on average £47,706 wealthier after 10 years than those who didn’t.
Yet there’s more to financial planning than money in the bank. A study by Royal London revealed people who receive financial advice feel more confident about the future, and more financially resilient. It’s these intangible advantages that really drive us to keep doing what we do, and making good people like yourself happier in the process.
