Keeping it local.
Since 2018, we’ve been the main sponsor of the Hambledon Hilly.
This fantastic event raises money for some truly deserving local charities. Competitors race over a number of distances, from 1k to 10k, through the Hampshire landscape.
And each year, members of the De Mellow & Co team lace up their running shoes and take part!
Inspiring the next generation.
In 2024, we launched our Financial Planner Academy to support the next generation of Planners.
In doing so, we had a clear vision: to support homegrown talent, raise awareness of careers within our industry, and support the growing number of people who might benefit from financial planning. We also wanted to raise awareness of financial planning as a fulfilling career path.
Here are just some of the Academy achievements to date:
- There have been more than 100 exam passes
- 10 candidates are taking part in active apprenticeships
- Two Financial Planners have achieved Chartered status
- Eight people have passed their Diplomas in Regulated Planning, including six Financial Planners
Part of something bigger.
This year, we’ve set ourselves the target of raising £10,000 for the St. James’s Place (SJP) Charitable Foundation.
To date, the foundation has raised more than £130 million for UK and overseas charities. For every £1 that members like us raise, SJP match.
Our recent golf day in support of the foundation raised a total of £5,000 – so we’re well on our way to our goal.
Best of all, any of our clients involved with smaller charities can make applications through us for a grant from the foundation. It’s all about giving something back.
