Huge success at the PFS and Portsmouth and Chichester Apprenticeship Awards

The Personal Finance Awards ceremony took place on Thursday, 23 October at Sea Containers Hotel in London. De Mellow & Co were nominated in the Chartered Financial Planning Firm of the Year category. While we narrowly missed out on taking home the main prize, we were effectively runners-up, being awarded “highly commended” status.

In a wide field featuring some big names from our profession, this is a huge achievement and one we’re extremely proud of. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of our whole team, so congratulations to everyone!

Next, inspirational apprentices and local employers were celebrated at the Portsmouth and Chichester Apprenticeship awards.

We’re delighted to announce that de Mellow & Co won the SME Employer of the Year category, sponsored by the South East Apprenticeship Ambassador Network. This is another significant win for our team, so well done to everyone involved.

Richard races to more than £2,000 for charity

On 19 October, de Mellow financial planner Richard Polson completed the 10-mile Great South Run in aid of the British Heart Foundation. Richard raised an impressive £2,040 for this worthwhile cause.

As a team, we’re always looking to develop new talent. This is evidenced not only by our recent Apprenticeship Awards win, but also through the kind of internal development that has recently seen Will and Yasmin promoted to fully-fledged financial planners.

Both Will and Yasmin have been working in the practice for several years and have shown enormous commitment and dedication to improving and developing within the team and their respective roles.

This hard work has paid off, and having completed their training, both are now excited to be working with their own clients, helping to make financial dreams a reality.
