On Friday 15 May, the de Mellow & Co team donned their walking boots to undertake their first-ever charity walk. The 12-mile route across the South Downs was completed in aid of the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.

Our 2026 Desk-to-Desk Charity Walk

The weather might have been testing, but spirits were high as the de Mellow team gathered at our Hambledon office to begin a 12-mile hike across the beautiful South Downs.

We battled rain, hail, and howling wind on the way to Petersfield, a walk that bridged the gap between de Mellow’s two locations ahead of our imminent office move.

More than 20 of us set out on the walk, and everyone arrived safely at our destination.

Congratulations to everyone who took part.

The fun day out provided us all with an opportunity to step away from our screens, get out into nature, and connect face-to-face. And we did so in aid of a great cause.

The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation supports hundreds of carefully selected projects each year, helping small and medium-sized charities across the UK and overseas make a meaningful difference. Its funding focuses on key themes including supporting disadvantaged children and young people, improving end-of-life care, helping people live well with cancer, providing vital mental health support, and its newer corporate-funded priority – Financial Wellbeing.

A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored us or has donated so far. You’ve truly helped to make a positive and lasting difference to people’s lives.

The walk has so far raised £5,800 for the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation, which is an incredible total.
